The Victoria’s Secret Models’ Diets Are Just Like Yours—Sort Of
The key to a Victoria’s Secret model’s body? Keeping up with a healthy diet year round. We caught up with a few of the models backstage before the 2016 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on Wednesday, where they dished on their pre-show workout rituals, being in Paris, and, of course, their pre-show diets.
“I just try to eat healthy throughout the year,” revealed model and VS veteran Alessandra Ambrosio. “I love fresh food, fish, meat, and I’ll have a piece of cupcake, some pizza, sometimes I go for burgers.” But, needless to say her diet changes pretty drastically about a month before the show. “I start pacing myself and start eating really healthy and eat a lot of protein to have the strength to workout, and greens and veggies. So in the end I cut out all the carbs—most of the carbs and the sugar. I always eat a piece of toast in the morning.”

Stella Maxwell’s average breakfast looks a lot like what we fuel up on in the morning too. “[I eat] either oatmeal or eggs and avocado,” in the morning, she told Newfashionable. And now that she’s in Paris, where she used live for a number of years, she gets to indulge in her favorite Parisian cuisine: “Croque Monsier, it’s kind of like a toastie.”

As for Kendall Jenner’s diet, it may not be as strict as the other girls, and she is planning to “eat a burger,” as soon as the show is over. It’s pretty common knowledge that the reality star enjoys a good fast food outing every now and then. And her snack of choice? “I brought almonds,” she said when we asked her a random item she packed in her suitcase. Almonds and burgers, sounds like our kind of “balanced” diet!
